The territory of Irpinia is particularly suited to viticulture due to its climatic characteristics and to the soils rich in elements coming from Vesuvius. A land of autochthonous viticulture where the Aglianico vine is widespread and known for its high quality performance.
NAME OF GRAPE VARIETIES: Aglianico and Piedirosso
VINEYARDS AND SOIL: The estates for the production of Mastro Rosso are located on a predominantly calcareous clay soil, with an exposure to Southeast and on average altitudes of 350 m above sea level.
PERIOD AND HARVEST SYSTEM: Mid-October, manual harvest.
VINIFICATION AND AGING: Classic red vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperature. Refine for at least a month in the bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics: Ruby red. On the nose the scents denote fruity sensations of plum, strawberry and cherry followed by spicy aromas of pepper and cinnamon.
On the palate, of medium structure, balanced, with a pleasant aftertaste of black cherry.
Food matches: fresh and seasoned cheeses.
Bring with sauces based on fresh tomatoes. Grilled white and red meats.
Serve at the ideal temperature of 18 ° C
