Piedirosso by Feudi di San Gregorio is a Campania IGT red wine, produced exclusively from Piedirosso grapes grown in the picturesque vineyards of Sannio, at the foot of Mount Taburno. This native wine is known for its broad and balanced character, which makes it an excellence of the Campania region. The vinification involves alcoholic fermentation and maceration in steel tanks for about 2-3 weeks, followed by maturation for about 3 months, always in steel, to preserve the freshness and purity of its aromas. The final refinement of at least 1 month in the bottle gives the wine greater harmony. When visually examined, Piedirosso presents itself with a dense and brilliant ruby color. On the nose, it opens with immediate notes of red fruits, such as plum, blackberry and cherry, accompanied by delicate spicy and mineral sensations. On the palate, it reveals a full and round body, supported by a persistent freshness that enhances its drinkability and balance. This wine is particularly suitable to accompany stuffed first courses, second courses of baked or grilled red and white meats, side dishes of mushrooms and smoked cheeses.
