Mastroberardino Vino Lacrima Christi del Vesuvio Rosso

Mastroberardino Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso is a prestigious wine with legendary origins, obtained from the Piedirosso grape variety grown in the volcanic area of Vesuvius. This wine reflects the sanguine nature of the territory and evolves magnificently even after long aging. The volcanic soils of the area, rich in minerals and well-drained, together with the south-east exposure at 170 meters above sea level, contribute to the exceptional quality of this wine. The harvest takes place manually in mid-October, and the red vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperature is followed by a refinement in the bottle for at least one month. The wine has an intense ruby red color and offers aromas of morello cherry and plum on the nose, enriched by spicy notes of pepper and cloves, with a distinctive mineral sensation. On the palate, it is warm, of great structure and softness, with fine tannins and a repetition of the fruity and spicy notes. Ideal to accompany appetizers, legume soups, cured meats and fresh cheeses, as well as first courses such as pasta or polenta with meat sauces, mushrooms and truffles, and second courses of elaborate red meats and grilled swordfish. Serve at the ideal temperature of 18 °C to fully appreciate its characteristics.
