The Greco di Tufo DOCG from the Mastroberardino winery is a fine white wine, obtained from 100% Greco grapes. The grapes come from the Tufo and Petruro Irpino estates, located on predominantly clay-limestone soils with south-east exposure and an average altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The vineyards have an average age of 15 years and are trained in espalier with Guyot pruning, with a planting density of approximately 3,000 vines per hectare and a yield of approximately 80 quintals per hectare. The grape harvest takes place manually in the second ten days of October. The vinification is classic in white, it takes place in steel tanks for about 20 days at a controlled temperature of 16°C-18°C. The refinement continues for a few months in the bottle, allowing the wine to develop its aromatic complexity. The wine has a straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers a fresh and fruity bouquet with strong notes of citrus, tropical fruits, peach, banana and white flowers. On the palate, it is characterized by great freshness and persistence, with a pleasant fruity aftertaste. This Greco di Tufo is ideal to pair with fish and shellfish dishes, grilled and baked white fish. The recommended serving temperature is between 12°C and 14°C.
