This process occurs slowly, without the use of solvents, and separates the actual germ from the oil by cold pressing the flakes. In this way, all the functional substances and the organoleptic and sensorial characteristics of the germ are preserved. Subsequently, the germ, maintaining its coarse consistency, is stone ground to maximize its aromatic components.
