The Khorasan KAMUT® wheat is an ancient grain, guaranteed, through the KAMUT® brand, always cultivated according to the organic method, never hybridized or genetically modified and appreciated for its nutritional values, easy digestibility, a sweet creamy nutty flavor and its compact consistency.
KAMUT® brand khorasan wheat is characterized by:
• high protein content (above the average of hard and soft wheats)
• high biological value proteins due to the high presence of essential amino acids
• high gluten
• moderate lipid content, rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats
• high content of B vitamins
• high content of mineral salts such as phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and iron
• good values of beta-carotene (natural antioxidant) and selenium
