SANTANDREA TAURASI DOCG "NAME OF CONTROLLED AND GUARANTEED ORIGIN"

Format: 1.5 lt

Grapes: Aglianico. Richness and power: the Aglianico in its most classic and expressive version.

Soil: predominantly volcanic, but also clay-limestone.

Harvest: first ten days of November.

Vinification: maceration for about 12 days, fermentation partially conducted also with autochthonous yeast starter, malolactic fermentation carried out completely in French oak. Aging of
14 months in French oak barrels.

Organoleptic characteristics.
Color: Ruby red with garnet hues
Aroma: Bouquet composed of marasca cherry, cinnamon and vanilla jam, with aromatic hints of anise and nutmeg.
Taste: The palate is rich and enveloping, with notes of ripe red fruits and spices. It is tannic but well balanced.

Accompaniments: Red wine called by the winemakers Barolo del Sud for its characteristics. Excellent with pasta dishes with lively sauces and with second courses with farmed or wild red meat.
