Poppy seeds (from the Papaver plant) are known for their high calcium content, but also for the sedative and calming effect on the nervous system.
They also contain a good quantity of minerals and vitamins, manganese, copper, potassium, iron, B vitamins and vitamin E. Thanks to the sedative quality notes, poppy seeds can be considered a natural remedy for anxiety, stress and insomnia .
