Greco di Tufo is one of the rare white wines to have great aging potential. This ancient and prestigious vine was brought to the province of Avellino from the ancient Greek population of the Pelasgians from Thessaly in the 1st century BC
The Tufo and Petruro Irpino estates are found on a predominantly clay-limestone soil with south-east exposure and an average altitude of 450 m. The training system is the espalier with guyot pruning.
SYSTEM AND HARVEST PERIOD: First half of October, manual harvest.
VINIFICATION AND AGING: Classic white vinification in steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Refine for at least a month in the bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics: Intense straw yellow color.
On the nose hints of chamomile, pear, ripe fruit and dried fruit. The taste in the mouth fresh, mineral, structured and persistent.
